Never Enough Time

There is never enough time to do all the nothing we want right?! We went on vacation in Ventura and i truly enjoyed reading book, paddle boarding and more! We took the baby with us to do everything, and he either napped on the beach or in the trailer, and he had a blast!
Here is a NEW art print in the shop! I was thrilled to do this quote that Lindsey from the Pleated Poppy requested!
Here it is, and here is the link to get your own! Wahoo!

Pics of us enjoying doing nothing at the beach! Always a good time!

Target Score!

So I have had a bridal shower and a baby shower coming up. When it came time to the bridal shower my wardrobe was looking gloomy. I feel like I haven't actually went dress shopping since about a year and a half ago before i was pregnant. Then after I had Gavin i purged my closet of all the things "out of style" and now my dress selection is not looking so good. So i found this score at target. I already wore it for one shower and will probably wear it again for the next, unless I do more shopping.

Back Fit and Flare Dress

This dress looks lik anthropology but for the target price, which made my wallet sing with excitement!
Love the polka dots, love the colors, love the cost! Done & Done.
Here is the LINK.

Dining room in the works...

This saturday we painted our accent room in the dining room. Now that painting is checked off the list, we still have to build the cabinets around the washer and dryer (to disguise them as a buffet), then order a bench and chair for our table nook, put up our pictures, our world map (super stoked ont his cause we are tagging all the places w have been together, then as a family in different colors), and finally get come awesome accent pillows for the booth section of our nook. Getting excited! Here are some sneaks of inspiration and a shot of our teal wall.

Ohh and did i mention we are starting to grade the front yard n 2 weeks! Wahoo! Our little humble home is making progress on the inside and out!

Wedge Window Shopping

I am on the hunt for a great back wedge. I thought i would share some of the wonderful shoes i found along the way. Still on the look out for black. I am especially in love with the Jessica Simpson wedges (the second image down), but have too many brown wedges already....hmmm maybe if they go on sale though...Do you have any recommendations for some cute black wedges? I am looking for a pair with a wooden or cork wedge.

Getting prepped for a shower

Hey All! This weekend....well really on Sunday, I am helping host a Bridal Shower Brunch at my house for a sweet gal in my Bible study. The couple is having a small and simple wedding on the beach that makes up about 20 people. So for a sweet shower theme, i thought it would be fun to do elegant but bright colors.
The color theme is going to be whites, beige's, blush pinks, and soft yellows.
Here are some pics of what my dining table looks like in preparation for the day.

Some of my favorite items are the tissue fans, balloons, and paper straws:)

Buy of the Week

Basically these shoes are awesome! I have been longing for these Nikes since i saw them on Pinterest and i finally did it. I found a pair in my size! I am longing for that sweet package to show up on my doorstep so i can rock these beauties!
Here is my favorite outfit styled with these nikes so far!
The thing about this pair is they can be sported with some skinnies or just some legging if you want to be comphy and cute! (Also I am digging her hair in these pictures. I can't wait until mine is that long again! It's pretty long straight though. It goes to the middle of my back)

I am having buyers remorse because I am trying to be super good and reserved with our
money these days, but this purchase was out of my control.....ok well not really, but they were calling my name. Here is the only site where I found my size still available and they were on sale for $39! Crazy good deal! Click HERE to get some for yourself.

Landscape Love

So I am dreaming of doing our Landscape in the front and back, but this summer we are going to be doing the front...fingers crossed that we save up enough money. Here is a bit of inspiration...

Our dreams include, decks, a skinny horizontal red wood fence in the front, some black mexican river rock, succulents, natives, artichokes, and more. Ohhh and if we have any cash money to spare i love the concrete blocks...you know the ones that look super clean and modern.

What's for Lunch?

When I had Gavin, I wasn't used to having lunch at home. I went from working full time and making sure I always took a lunch, to working from home 15-20 hours a week and being a mom who barley has enough time to make a lunch yet alone a snack.

Here is my go-to lunch! it's super easy and everything is usually on hand in my pantry and fridge.
I like to call these my little lunch wraps. I used to make a version of this with Jenn whenever her and Jeff would have chicken leftovers.

All you need are: pre-washed bagged lettuce (any kind you want), craisins, goat cheese, bagged shoe string carrots, walnuts, chicken (I usually use any kind of chicken leftovers, or else I go vegetarian for the meal), avocado, and balsamic dressing.....
Basically you throw this in a tortilla, wrap it up, and enjoy!
I feel like it's gourmet when it only takes 2 minutes to prep. Try it out, it's delicious!
